The Mirai, Toyota’s hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that can be fueled by everything (even trash), inspired us to take a look at Back to the Future II. Specifically, the day that Doc and Marty traveled to the future in a car powered by garbage.
So, on October 20th, 2015, we produced an exclusive press and VIP event to launch the Mirai, the car of the future. The event served as a colorful, nostalgic and whimsical backdrop to reflect on the future envisioned in the film, while the event’s futuristic interior space celebrated that the realities of 2015 are even better than fiction.
